Design of Busan Entertainment Tower Complex, Korea Competition entry

We transformed the buzzing street life of downtown Busan with its density and openness, network of narrow mews and stairways, highways and crossroads into a coherent vertical spatial structure.

It aims to be a vertical extension of the city, crowning the Hill of the Dragon, Busan's future cultural epicentre.
The building's incomparable shape emerges as a result of the spatial alignment of four tubes, which are twisted around the tower's axis. Accordingly the building will have an irregular volume and non-hierachical orientation.

Visitors will experience a dramatic overlap of views of internal spaces and the stunning surrounding area.
